At Joombaya we realise that with out open source the would be no Joomla! and no Joomla! would mean no Joombaya. For that reason we have adopted a policy of adherence to the values of Open Source and more superficially the values and intent of the GPL license under which Joomla! is distributed.

To that end we do not actively support any non GPL compatible extensions. To clarify this, we will not enforce our beliefs on our membership, they are free to utilise any Joomla! extension they like. But... we will not promote, distribute nor provide support for any extension that we believe is in breach of the GPL.

In maintaining compliance with the GPL license all Joombaya extensions are licensed under the GPL license, source code is open(not encrypted) and available to all members. We do however require that members of Joombaya become a member on the basis that they will not re-distribute our member only extensions. It is in fact in their best interest not to redistribute the extensions as doing so reduces any commercial advantage they may have gained through their membership.
